After leading national marketing operations for more than 300 healthcare clinics, Edwin Ruis created Practica Plus as a space to share what works: helping organizations communicate more effectively and measure what matters.

About Edwin Ruis

Many organizations care deeply about their communities and want their communication to reflect that care. I help teams bring more clarity and ease to their work by listening first, understanding how information moves through the organization, and translating what matters most into messages people can understand and trust.I’ve spent more than twenty years in communications across healthcare, civic media, and community organizations, with a strong focus on digital strategy and data-informed decision making. Early in my career, I helped build a bilingual information platform that expanded access for families who were not receiving the resources they needed. That experience shaped how I approach communication today: it should reduce friction, build trust, and help people reach what improves their lives.In later roles, including work guiding brand and digital strategy for more than 300 healthcare clinics, I worked closely with teams to strengthen the connection between data, design, and story. I helped organizations understand how people were engaging online, where they were getting stuck, and how clearer communication could support better outcomes. These experiences grounded my belief that effective communication blends strategic intent with practical, modern digital execution.I created Practica Plus in 2025 as a selective advisory platform for organizations that want steady plans and communication that respects the people it reaches. I’m bilingual in English and Spanish and enjoy working with teams focused on health, education, and culture. I live in Oregon and remain committed to the idea that when people understand their options, communities grow stronger.
